1-800-AMBULANCE QUALITY
CONTROL REQUIREMENTS

The ambulance companies in our network all pass and prove a series of quality control requirements. This is to ensure that we are working towards our vision of giving the public access to quality medical transportation.

Furthermore, as more ambulance companies join our network, more access is given to the public. If one service's ambulance cars are busy transporting other patients, instead of arriving late, our service allows ambulance from another quality company to arrive and to transport the patient.

Furthermore, we steer clear of ambulance companies that overcharge patients. Sometimes there are more options available and we will always provide ambulance service at a fair cost to the customers of 1-800-AMBULANCE: the one and only source for access to a nationwide network of non-emergency ground transportation.

All of the ambulance companies in our network are screened with
the following requirements:

  1. Ambulance company has a current license for non-emergency medical transport and/or has an agreement to dispatch for service providers with current license in state(s) where conducting business.

  2. Ambulance company must meet the license requirement above for at least one year prior to becoming apart of the 1-800-AMBULANCE network.

  3. The dispatchers and/or the dispatchers servicing the calls for the ambulance company must have a minimum combined experience of 4 years.

  4. The ambulance company and/or ambulance company's service providers must conform to the patient privacy act laws detailed in the Health Care Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996.

  5. The ambulance company and/or ambulance company's service providers must have liability insurance coverage in the amount of at least one hundred thousand dollars.
